The firm was founded in 1995 by Jerry Adams and two associates who manage search practices in the building products, manufacturing, food processing, manufacturing, and medical products industries.
Jerry developed a passion for the engineering, design and construction industry early in his career. Beginning in the late 1980’s, he managed the west coast construction executive search practice for an international top tier executive search and consulting firm. In the mid 90’s, while launching Adams Partners, Jerry expanded his client base to include a national portfolio of the AEC industry’s top architects, engineers, builders and owners. Jerry takes great pride in maintaining a personal friendship with the first construction executive he placed in 1988. Long term relationships, hard work, under promising and over delivering, combined with ethical business conduct, are the defining characteristics of Adams Partners.
Having spent most of his adult life in the AEC executive search field, Jerry has seen it all. The lessons learned have enabled him to develop a simple philosophy – that every executive search needs to follow the same basic guidelines of extensive planning and execution, clear and mutual expectations, a single point-of- contact, open and honest communication, follow through and proper on-boarding. Prior to getting into the search field, Jerry attended Purdue University and was a US Marine. He is active in professional organizations such as the National Association of Personnel Services and the Construction Recruiters Network.
